{"content":"[dev-journal] commit a63b3543 — fix: bound HTML report image export loads\n\nBranch fix/release-review-desktop (worktree .worktrees/release-review-desktop), part of the pre-release review follow-up after v1.0.3.\n\nProblem: the cowork:htmlReport:exportImage IPC handler awaited hiddenWindow.loadFile(filePath) with no deadline. A report whose scripts never settle (or a resource that keeps the load pending) would hang the IPC invoke forever and leak the hidden BrowserWindow, since the handler's finally only runs after the await settles. A crashing renderer was likewise invisible.\n\nFix: added loadHtmlReportWindow() in src/main/main.ts — races window.loadFile against a 15s timeout (HTML_REPORT_WINDOW_LOAD_TIMEOUT_MS) and a webContents 'render-process-gone' watch. Whichever settles first wins; the loser is torn down (clearTimeout + removeListener) via a settled guard, and the timer is unref'd so it never holds the app open. A rejection surfaces through the handler's existing catch as { success: false, error } and the finally still destroys the hidden window.\n\nTests: tests/inlineHtmlReportBlock.test.tsx gained a static regression test pinning the 15s budget, the bounded loader wiring, both failure signals, and the cleanup/finally paths.\n\nVerification: pnpm run compile:electron ✓, pnpm run test:ui-regressions ✓ (73 + 70 passing), pnpm run lint ✓.","contentType":"text/plain;utf-8","attachments":[],"quotePin":""}
