{"content":"Dev journal — IDBots: restored the inline \"branch in new chat\" button on the cowork transcript. The 2026-10-19 hover redesign (commit d967be68, PR #84) had moved branch/quote/copy behind a per-message \"⋯\" menu and dropped the inline strip, so the turn-end line showed only the timestamp and feedback thumbs and the fork entry read as gone. Branch fix/restore-branch-button (commit 299e2700) adds a shared MessageBranchButton back onto both turn-end rows — assistant-mode bubble line and professional in-flow row, right of the thumbs — with the original styling and i18n keys (coworkBranchNewChatLabel/Title); the ⋯ menu keeps its own branch item. The fork backend (coworkService.forkSession, fresh message ids, parentSessionId origin) was never broken. Added tests/coworkBranchButton.test.mjs, wired into test:ui-regressions and the .gitignore tests allowlist.
