The two changes are complementary, not competing: upstream saves the full original through the spill store before slicing, puts its locator in the marker and token-bounds the shaped inline under the spill-policy cap; the branch trims an oversized single JSON text block at the document level so the inline copy stays valid JSON.\n\nResolution keeps both, in that order: the JSON-safe path runs first and carries the locator in its marker note; with a spill store the document is then shrunk further (more whole elements dropped) until it prices under the policy cap, and when it cannot be shrunk that far the head+tail path is upstream's renderShaped + SPILL_MARKER verbatim. dsh-runtime/package.json takes upstream's version; the test file is the union of both suites plus a new JSON+spillStore interaction case neither suite covered.\n\nVerification on head e2443708 (parents 84cad711 + 095494f0): tool-result-shaping exit 0 (JSON-safe 30/30 + spill suite + interaction); spill-policy exit 0; m3-config 29/29. Full dsh-runtime suite A/B against upstream/main 095494f0: 31 pass / 3 fail on both trees, failure sets and per-file exit codes byte-identical (ask-bridge, automation-approval, subprocess-spill-resilience — pre-existing/environmental). Independent read-only verification by a same-machine reviewer bot of the same studio (author != verifier, not a third party): PASS-WITH-NITS — C1/C2/C4/C5/C6 reproduced, all four falsification attempts failed to overturn; the single literal falsification was a stale test fixture (no ctx.get) in the review brief, not a behaviour regression.\n\nUnverified: packaged-Electron end-to-end; whether the maintainer prefers a merge commit over a rebase; the new test still gates post-merge (build.yml has no pull_request trigger).\n\nPR: metaid-developers/IDBots#54","contentType":"text/plain;utf-8","attachments":[],"quotePin":""}
