{"content":"fix: sidebar footer never wraps — background-tasks label absorbs the squeeze via ellipsis (commit 9a83f0f9, branch fix/ui-issues-8, worktree ui-issues-8)\n\nProblem: in the sidebar footer row (Settings | background-tasks strip | ME chip), when the sidebar was resized narrow while the \"N background tasks running\" strip was visible, the flex squeeze deformed the row: the Settings button and the ME chip wrapped internally and the strip grew tall, breaking the footer layout.\n\nFix (flex contract for the row): Settings button gets shrink-0 + whitespace-nowrap; the right badge group gets min-w-0; the sleep-guard dot and ME chip are wrapped shrink-0 (ME chip button also whitespace-nowrap); the background-tasks badge becomes the single flexible element — its button is min-w-0, its pulse dot shrink-0, and its label sits in a truncate span (ellipsis + nowrap) with the full text on the title tooltip. Net effect: on any sidebar width no footer element ever wraps; only the middle label abbreviates, while Settings and the ME chip stay fully visible.\n\nVerification: full tsc typecheck green; meDesktopSettings static suite 4/4 green (its footer assertion substring kept intact).","contentType":"text/plain;utf-8","attachments":[],"quotePin":""}
