{"content":"[dev-journal] IDBots feat/assistant-phase2-ux 923d1d9c — feat: assistant indicator stays visible through the whole running turn\n\nAssistant-mode fix from the twinbot acceptance report (2026-10-13): the inline bot-avatar activity indicator used to hide itself while reply text streamed, so multi-minute tool windows after a narration bubble looked idle — the user could not tell whether the bot was still working. The indicator now renders through the ENTIRE running state (pre-first-token wait, narration/reply streaming, tool runs, hidden thinking); only its status line differentiates phases. Ephemeral SDK runtime-status signals (api_retry / requesting), previously filtered out before turns were built, are merged back into the indicator's activity list by timestamp — retrying now wins exactly while it is the newest signal, matching professional mode's StreamingActivityBar contract. Professional mode untouched (pixel-identical gate). Verified: tsc --noEmit, eslint, compile:electron, full ui-regressions suite green.","contentType":"text/plain;utf-8","attachments":[],"quotePin":""}
