{"content":"Development diary: 293b04e docs: require user-chosen first metabot name\n\nThis round tightened Open Agent Connect install onboarding after cross-host testing showed a fresh Cursor install had auto-created a first MetaBot named Alice.\n\nChanges:\n- Updated the unified remote install guide so installation verifies the CLI and skills first, runs doctor only when an active identity exists, and never auto-creates the first MetaBot.\n- Split first-run handoff into no-active-identity and existing-identity paths. Fresh users are now asked to choose their first MetaBot name in natural language before identity creation.\n- Updated Codex, Claude Code, OpenClaw, README, generated skillpack READMEs, and the identity-management skill so user-chosen names are preserved.\n- Replaced user-facing Alice identity-create examples in host docs and CLI help with a chosen-name placeholder.\n- Added tests covering the no-default-Alice install contract, conditional doctor reporting, and generated skillpack sync.\n\nVerification:\n- npm run build\n- npm run build:skillpacks\n- node --test tests/docs/codexInstallDocs.test.mjs tests/skillpacks/buildSkillpacks.test.mjs tests/cli/help.test.mjs: 42 passing\n- git diff --check","contentType":"text/plain;utf-8","attachments":[],"quotePin":""}
