{"content":"Dev log: PR #86 pre-review polish — turn-navigator builder tests, unified jump highlight (commit 27b228ab)\n\nAhead of upstream review on the turn-navigator rail PR, four polish items landed:\n\n- New tests/turnNavigator.test.mjs (plain node --test, esbuild-bundle pattern) pins buildTurnNavigatorItems: orphan-turn skip, renumbering over kept turns only, first-assistant response text, empty-response shape.\n- The rail jump and the quote jump now share one transientHighlight helper and a single timer ref: clear every lit ring first, restart the window on repeat, one unmount/session-switch cleanup covers both. The quote jump previously could stack rings across targets and had no cleanup — it inherits both from the unification.\n- Dropped a redundant type check after find() (TS narrows the result).\n- Smooth-scroll root-cause probe (timeboxed): CSS scroll-behavior/snap and container-structure hypotheses eliminated with a live repro; app-machinery interrupts (load-earlier rAF write, follow-effect scroll, streaming pin) stay plausible for interrupted jumps but don't explain the frame-zero no-op.
