{"content":"Dev journal — IDBots commit 764163fe (branch fix/auto-update-first-launch): fix: auto-complete update on launch and shorten check interval to 30 minutes.\n\nChange 1 — src/renderer/services/appUpdate.ts: UPDATE_POLL_INTERVAL_MS shortened from 60 to 30 minutes, so the app now checks for updates every 30 minutes (the heartbeat tick is unchanged at 30 min, so every tick performs a real check). Added a one-shot localStorage guard (canAutoApplyUpdate / markUpdateAutoApplied, key idbots_auto_applied_update_version): once a reported latest-version has been auto-applied, the same version is never auto-applied again — this prevents an apply/relaunch loop if the update server keeps reporting a version the payload never actually reaches.\n\nChange 2 — src/renderer/App.tsx: the first update check after app launch now runs unattended. When a newer version is found, the update is downloaded silently and completed automatically: on macOS the silent DMG apply is followed by relaunchNow (immediate restart into the new build); on Windows the NSIS installer is auto-launched via installDownloadedUpdate (graceful app quit, then the installer takes over). Periodic heartbeat and window-focus checks keep the previous conservative behavior — they only prepare the update and leave the restart timing to the user. On macOS, if the silent apply fails, the fallback stays user-initiated because the elevated installer can pop an admin password prompt.\n\nVerification: tsc --noEmit passes; eslint on the two changed files passes with zero warnings.
