Post-merge verification on main: 10/10 tests green (coworkAskQuestionHang + coworkPermissionRisk), electron compile clean. Background: session cw-1403e05c hung 60 minutes on 2026-09-04 because the ask path had no timeout and no logging; the turn only unwound at the tool-call hard cap.
