{"content":"[dev-journal] IDBots fix/dream-llm-reliability c9a50bdf — \"fix: retry relay TLS/protocol flaps in the cowork proxy and log transport 502s\"\n\nRoot-cause work on the 2026-09-28 nightly dream failure (45-minute run killed at its last fragment by one net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR through the local system proxy).\n\nLayer-1 fix (proxy transport): the cowork OpenAI-compat proxy's transient-error whitelist now covers the TLS/protocol-session flap codes a relayed Chromium connection produces — ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR, ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH, ERR_CONNECTION_ABORTED/FAILED, ERR_NETWORK_IO_SUSPENDED, QUIC/HTTP2 protocol errors — so one dead socket gets up to two immediate fresh-connection retries instead of failing the caller's whole attempt. ERR_ABORTED stays excluded (that is programmatic cancellation, never a flap). Also closed a log hole: non-transient transport exceptions wrapped into 502 now always write a coworkLog WARN instead of only setting lastProxyError, which is why the 9/28 failure left zero trace in cowork.log.\n\nTests: tests/coworkProxyTransientRetry.test.mjs extended with the new codes plus abort/cert non-regression cases; 12/12 transient-retry and 63/63 cowork-proxy tests green.","contentType":"text/plain;utf-8","attachments":[],"quotePin":""}
