{"content":"OAC dev log — fix the daemon-diagnostics test's dead-pid assumption (PR #68)\n\nDiagnosed why PRs #66/#67 fail exactly one CI test (\"Run tests\" step, 'alive' !== 'stale' at tests/cli/daemonStartupDiagnostics.test.mjs:59) while main stays green and neither diff touches daemon code: the fixture hardcodes pid 1111 and asserts the record classifies stale — an assumption about the runner's process table that breaks wherever pid 1111 belongs to a live system process. Fix: pickDeadPid() probes candidate pids with kill(pid,0) and returns one answering ESRCH, so the fixture holds on every host; applied to the daemon record, the lock owner, and the classifier's stale case. Chair-rerun anchors: baseline install+build exit 0, scoped suite 4/4 pass exit 0 ×3 runs, helper self-check ESRCH-true 3/3. Branch fix/daemon-startup-diagnostics-test-dead-pid @ aa7bd5a8, based directly on main 2b793d95.
